PHOTO: Racist pizza box

You'd think the Italian guy who owns the pizza joint in Closter, NJ where I got this box would object to this kind of racist stereotypical drawing of Italians. Go figure. All that's missing is an organ grinder, a monkey, and some Mafia gangsters.  Why not throw in the "Jersey Shore" kids too. Snooki would look good making pizza.

If only politics was like the TV biz. Since he's such a flop after just one year, wouldn't it be great if we could cancel Conan Obama and buy off his contract as president?

VIDEO 2001: A High School Musical Oddity

The opening of Stanley Kubrick's scifi masterpiece, 2001: A Space Odessey features Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. It's an unforgettable melding of great music and montage. 

Now watch what happens when this iconic score for the opening titles is performed by a very bad high school band in need of much practice.

ObamaCare omen? iPhone GPS app lists crematorium as part of health care

I just dowloaded an open-source GPS navigation app for my iPhone called ROADEE. For $1.99 it's a steal and I'll post a review soon.
 
When playing around with it looking to find POI's - Points of Interest - in my area, it was curious to see CREMATORIUM listed under the HEALTH CARE menu. Perhaps an omen of ObamaCare to come? :)

PIC: Self-portrait with ground squirrel


Melissa Brandts wasn’t trying to take a photo of this ground squirrel at Banff National Park.  She’d set up the camera’s timer so that she’d have a nice picture of herself and her husband, with spectacular Lake Minnewanka in the background.

She hadn’t counted on this ground squirrel hogging the foreground.
