How Paris Jackson saved her dad
Michael Jackson's farewell at the Staples Center was mostly a media hyped mess, as family and friends performed and pranced around his gold coffin. The one saving grace came when his 11 year old daughter Paris, standing next to her little brother Prince, spoke to the audience and tearfully expressed her love for her father. In that very brief moment, which I'm sure melted even the coldest of hearts, the proclaimed "King of Pop" became just "Pop", a loving father, a dad. Thanks to Paris, Michael Jackson once again became a real person. It made me wonder that if Jackson didn't go through such great pains to hide and mask his children (and himself) from the world, things could have been very different. He never understood that his kids were the keys to his salvation and his return to the real world.
